The (Icky) Musical Baton

I'm horrified that I'm doing this, but Jeff is a nice guy and he passed me this -awful chain letter- musical baton.

I’m horrified that I’m doing this, but Jeff is a nice guy and he passed me this awful chain letter musical baton (it feels icky, like a snotty kleenex). So let’s all take a moment to indulge the junior-high antics of the blogosphere, after which we’ll return you to the regularly scheduled prolonged and silent death of this site.

Total volume of music on my computer: 90.73GB This represents 20 genres (Alternative is not a genre). The most well-represented of these are:

  • Rock (7600 songs)
  • Soundtrack (3010 songs)
  • Jazz (2618 songs)
  • Folk (1480 songs)
  • Electronic (929 songs)
  • Hip-Hop/Rap (692 songs)

The last CD I bought was: Live at the Phoenix EP – Tegan and Sara (from iTunes)

Song playing right now: Suzie Q by the Rolling Stones.

Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:

  1. Mama You’ve Been On My Mind, Bob Dylan
  2. Sunken Waltz, Calexico
  3. Hey Tonight, Creedence Clearwater Revival
  4. King of Carrot Flowers, Neutral Milk Hotel
  5. Hummingbird, Wilco

The also-rans:

  • Coffaro’s Song*, Bill Frisell
  • Getting Better, The Beatles
  • Amphibian, Bjork
  • Fur Alina, Arvo Part
  • Rain City, Turin Brakes
  • I Got It Bad And That Ain’t Good, Nina Simone
  • Cosmic Dancer, T. Rex

Five People to Whom I am Passing the Baton (and who will hate me forever):

I don’t hate the player, I just don’t love the meme.

Gosh, I feel so sorry for Jeff after you tore him to pieces that I have no choice but to do the same to you. Here goes.

    Wilson

    I deserve it.

I decided not to be as mean. I mean really, who calls a friend icky?

I didn’t say he was icky. I said the baton was icky. Because it felt like a chain letter. Jeff doesn’t feel like a chain letter. I don’t know what he feels like, but if I had to guess, I would probably say “Jeffy”.
